Are these doors “bullet proof”?

These doors are engineered as genuine high-security, bullet-resistant doors (never hollow-core) and can be built to meet UL 752 Level 3 or Level 8 ballistic standards. While no door is truly “bullet proof,” these models are independently tested and rated to stop specific handgun or rifle threats up to the UL 752 level you choose.

Do they look like a normal residential door from the outside?

Yes. Our panic room doors are designed to blend in. From the outside they can be built to look just like a standard interior door—same style, color, and hardware—so guests never know it’s a high-security door..

Can I still use the room as a normal bedroom/office day-to-day?

Yes. In day-to-day use, it functions just like a normal room.
Our panic room doors are built on standard residential door frames and hardware layouts, so the room can still be used as a bedroom, office, or storage space without feeling like a bunker. The ballistic core, reinforced frame, and multi-point lockwork are all hidden inside the door and jamb, and we can match your existing trim, color, and hardware style.

What are bullet resistant wall panels and how do they work?

Our bullet resistant wall panels are made from multi-layered fiberglass composite that’s specifically engineered to absorb and trap incoming rounds, not just “bounce” them off. The layers flex and delaminate on impact, slowing the bullet and capturing fragments inside the panel.

What are these panels tested for?

Each panel is independently tested to UL 752 ballistic standards, the same test used for commercial banks and government facilities. We typically provide panels in UL 752 Level 3 (common handgun rounds) and UL 752 Level 8 (5.56 / 7.62 rifle threats), so you can choose the protection level that matches your risk.

What sizes do the bullet resistant wall panels come in, and can they be cut to fit?

Our ballistic panels are offered in a range of standard sizes so you can cover most walls with minimal seams:
3’ x 8’, 3’ x 9’, 3’ x 10’
4’ x 8’, 4’ x 9’, 4’ x 10’
5’ x 8’, 5’ x 9’, 5’ x 10’
Panels can be trimmed and custom cut in the field to fit your exact layout—outlets, light switches, windows, and door openings.

Can I start small and add more panels and hangers later?

These systems are fully modular and expandable. You can start with a small kit—just a couple of panels and a handful of hangers—and then add more panels, shelves, pistol and rifle hangers as your collection grows.

Can I lock the system, or do I still need a traditional safe?

Our wall panels are designed for organization and fast access, not like a standalone safe. The panels themselves are open display systems and should be installed inside a locked room, safe room, vault, or other controlled spaces.

What’s involved in installing the panels—can I DIY it?

Many customers install the panels themselves using basic tools—a drill/driver, level, tape measure, stud finder, and appropriate anchors. The panels mount directly to standard framed walls or masonry using lag screws or concrete anchors, and we recommend having two people to lift, hold, and level each panel while it’s fastened.

Exterior doors with a threshold use 12 locking bolts that engage with a single motion—by key from the outside or thumb turn from the inside. Interior panic-room doors without a threshold use 11 locking bolts, providing the same one-motion operation and secure, even compression all around the door.
